Islam is the newest religion. It came after both Judaism and Christianity.Therefore, logically speaking, it is the most "modern". Which means anybody who says Islam is a "backwards" and "old/out of touch" religion is both literally and logically incorrect.
HA HA HA.

I think, Islam is not only "modern", it is the most logic religion on earth. You can prove mostly anything in the Qur'an, scientifically... ;-)
Yes, it is the youngest and least developed. Just like a naive and dangerous teenager, so strident and self assured and ready to conquer the world.

I don't think so. Islam is as old as Abraham (aleyhi salaam). Islam is just a continuation of the old Abrahamic faith tradition. So Islam is nothing new. It's wrong to assume otherwise, because as Muslims we are told to accept all Prophets who came before Muhammad (peace be upon them).
"But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee..."(4:162)
As per modernity - it is a 19th Century phenomena. So historically speaking Islam is not 'modern' - however, it is modern in the sense that it's message is universal and timeless. It applies today, therefore it is modern.
Just gotta be careful how we say waht we are trying to convey.

The difference is where other religions have adapted to a more modern way of thinking Islam has stagnated since 622ce.
The reason why people say that Islam old and out of teach is because they base their believes on old testament. Tit for tat. If you believe in the same God as i believe, you will know that God left the old testament after he sent his only begotten son "JESUS CHRIST" to Die for our sin; making it possible for us to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven. no more tit for tat. I hope you understand this...
